About Dr. Ansi
Dr. Ansi Shayar graduated in Dental Surgery from Government Dental College, Kottayam, and began her career in Kerala, where she spent five years in general practice. In 2018 she moved to the UAE, earned her Department of Health licence as an implantologist, and has practised in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi since.
Her implant training comes from the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the British Academy of Dental Implantology, with further certification in digital implantology workflow from Etk Implants in France. Her work spans single-tooth implants, multiple implants, sinus lifts and full-mouth rehabilitation.
Outside the clinic she volunteers with the We Are Police community team of Abu Dhabi Police, and she is currently completing a postgraduate diploma in mental health, with a particular interest in how anxiety shapes a patient's experience of dental care.

Dental implants in Abu Dhabi
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone to replace the root of a missing tooth. Once it heals, a crown, bridge or denture is fixed on top. Dr. Ansi places implants for patients across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, planning each case with a 3D CBCT scan so the implant sits in the safest, strongest position.

A 3D scan measures bone height and width, and the implant position is planned digitally.
Implant placement

Healing

A custom crown, bridge or denture is fitted to match your natural teeth.

How much do dental implants cost in Abu Dhabi?
The cost depends on how many teeth are being replaced, the implant system used, whether bone grafting or a sinus lift is needed, and the type of crown. Dr. Ansi gives you a written treatment plan and cost after a clinical examination and CBCT scan, so there are no surprises later.
Does UAE health insurance cover dental implants?
Many basic insurance plans in the UAE do not cover implants, while some enhanced plans cover part of the cost. Check your policy's dental benefits, and the clinic can help you confirm coverage before treatment starts.
How long does dental implant treatment take?
Most cases take three to six months from placement to the final crown, because the implant needs time to bond with the bone. In suitable cases a temporary tooth can be fitted the same day. Your timeline is confirmed at the planning stage.
Is getting a dental implant painful?
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during placement. Most patients describe mild soreness for a few days afterwards, which is managed with regular painkillers.
Can I get implants if I have bone loss?
Often, yes. A CBCT scan shows how much bone is available. Where bone is limited, procedures such as bone grafting or a sinus lift can create enough support for an implant.
How long do dental implants last?
With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, implants can last for many years and often decades. Smoking, gum disease and uncontrolled diabetes can shorten their lifespan, which is why these are assessed before treatment.
